Students
Welcome to Birmingham! We’re so excited to have you studying in the city and would love to journey with you throughout your studies. Any of our churches would be delighted to welcome you on a Sunday, but we also have a number of student-specific events and opportunities that we’d love to invite you to.
SCM
SCM Birmingham is a Christian community of students and young people in Birmingham that is inclusive and LGBTQ+ affirming. We encourage diversity of thought, identity and Christian spirituality, and aim to provide sanctuary and spiritual welcome to all. We're an ecumenical group, meaning we're welcoming and inclusive of people from all church backgrounds and none. We run speaker sessions and discussions (with free food!) in the Oasis lounge at UoB Multifaith Chaplaincy, 6:30pm – 8:00pm on Wednesdays. For more information and to keep update follow our Instagram page.
Bread and Belief
At Bread and Belief, we believe baking bread can be a spiritual practice that brings people together. We make bread from scratch using simple ingredients, reflecting on our participation in God’s creative work, before sharing a light meal of bread and spreads together. It’s a welcoming space to connect, create and celebrate God’s inclusive community. All ingredients are provided. For more information and to see upcoming events please check out our website.
