Discover Our Shared Direction: BMC Mission Action Plan 2025

The Birmingham Methodist Circuit is pleased to share our Mission Action Plan for 2025, a prayerfully crafted guide for the next stage in our shared life and ministry. Rooted in our vision of"Sharing in the transformation of life made possible through God's love," this plan sets a clear direction for the years ahead -- building on what has gone before and discerning where God is calling us now.

The plan outlines the five priorities that shape our common mission as listed above. It then explores eight 'Areas for Development' that we believe deserve focused attention over the next 2-3 years.

The titles given to each 'Area for Development aim to express a guiding principle that could be acted upon in many different ways across the circuit.

1) Working together effectively
2) Supporting local worship and mission
3) Sustaining leadership adn participation
4) Doing fewer things well
5) Developing the faith of young people
6) Beginning new forms of church
7) Acting for justice, dignity, and solidarity
8) Reducing our harm to the natural environment

This isn't a static document -- it's the beginning of a dynamic cycle of discerning, planning, acting and reviewing. We invite you to read it, pray with it, and consider how you might be involved as we seek to bear fruit together in Christ's name.
